The setting and general ambience of the hotel were excellent--from the beautiful antique tapestries on the walls to the old city surrounding it. Also had an excellent "lunch" in the dining room.
It was a wonderful hotel with a sense of history that made it special. Everything about our stay was enjoyable and the hotel made for a unique and memorable time.
The hotel was quiet and comfortable; the staff friendly and helpful. It was useful but not necessary to be able to speak some Spanish. Zamora ia a charming and interesting small city and the Parador is right in the centre of the old town, near the river and within easy walking distance of all the main sights.
A very comfortable hotel, excellent situation. On site car parking available.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the location was strategic for the historic area and the room was very comfortable
I couldn´t get the internet connection in my room, I had to go to the cafeteria, but it worked very well there.
Excellent rooms, views, good buffet breakfast. Close proximity to excellent shops and set within the historic district so not far to walk to visit the sites.
I had requested a double bed, but only twin beds were available. I had to book a suite at the extra expense of € 76 per day to get a double bed. It was said that there were only 4 normal rooms with double bed which were not available at the time of check-in at 17.00 hours.
character and location
it was rather difficult to get on internet in the rooms, had to sit nearby lobby
Good choice of breakfast .Nice clean swimming pool and surrounding area with plenty of sun beds. Staff helpful and very pleasant.
Room and en suite furnishings a little drab and tired looking compared to other Paradors visited. Parador Car Parking (no other option nearby) was very expensive.
The atmosphere of a paradore; the excellent room and the location in the city.
Very good location. They let us stay at the swimming pool the whole day on the day of departure.
The location is extremely good - midway between the town centre and the cathedral and castillo. Like most Paradors it's a beautifully restored/adapted historic building. The manager went out of his way to welcome us personally
The pool, alas, was closed despite the extended good weather. Some of the staff were also quite surly
Die Lage, Sauberkeit, Service hervorragend, Mitten im Ort, direkt an der Fußgängerzone Schwimmbad im Freien, schöne Terrasse mit Blick über den Fluss Douro
Schwimmbad Saisonende 15.9.
